Can't choose a favorite between these two....it depends on what kind. Love carrot cake and/or German chocolate cake but also pecan pie or a good buttermilk pie. :)
Pie all the way & it has to be a savory one, im not a fan of sweet things, for me the easiest thing in the world is saying no to cake.

Cake!! I make novelty birthday cakes when I get the chance and even if I have to carve them there is no waste! Whatever is left over gets crumbled up to make cake pops which the kids just love aswell....(if I let them have any!!)

Depends up the kind of cake and the kind of pie - carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, cheesecake or good old-fashioned birthday cake will usually win, though ice cream pie, lemon meringue or apple pie a la mode will give them a run for their money!

They both are so yummy, but I don't eat the icing of cake. I love pie because it is sometimes the dough is still gooey from all the juices and such-mmmmm! I get peach pie, just so the boyfriend doesn't steal a bite, lol! Things you have to do to enjoy pie by yourself!
Wow that just depends! Pecan Pie is my favorite followed by chocolate and lemon meringue however, I have yet to meet a decent cake I didn't like... those fruit cake bricks down count as cake do they?
