Today's project and videos are from Elaine Hughes.

ShinHan Touch Twin Markers work well with other brands (I know, because I’ve tried them together), so they make a nice addition to an existing marker collection. The markers are available in both brush and fine point versions (brush markers have a white barrel, fine point have a black barrel). I use the brush markers in my video, as that happens to be my general preference for most of the colouring I do.

So, first off, here’s my card! I chose to colour the super sweet “Warm Wishes Tia” from the Some Odd Girl range of clear stamps. Tia was so much fun to colour, and she looks SO cute. The sentiment is also from the Warm Wishes Tia set (which includes an adorable penguin too).

I coloured Tia with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers on Make it Colour Blending Card. The yummy papers are My Mind’s Eye 12 Days of Christmas, and I tied the bow with the Bow-Easy template. I distressed the edges of all the layers with Distress Ink – Vintage Photo.

On to the videos! I have broken the colouring process into three videos, so you can easily dip in and out of them as you like. They aren’t perfect, but I hope you find them somewhat useful! Hopefully they will give you an idea of how well the Touch Twin markers work, and why I’m so thrilled with them!

Cheers Thoughout the Years

Today's holiday project is from Dina Kowal.

I colored the image with Touch Twin markers, using a Sakura glaze pen for some realistic shine on the windows, and Martha Stewart glitter for the snow. The window stamp and sentiment are part of a clear set called Winter View, which was part of last year's winter release. I also used the Wood Grain Cover-a-Card background stamp on the oval sentiment panel, and the Thick and Thin Cover-a-Card for the striped background. It's stamped 3 times with 3 different inks, moving over slightly each time.

Blue Christmas

Here is a yummy Christmas card from Dina Kowal.

I'm using one of my own stamp designs available through Our Daily Bread designs - Christmas Tree Collage. It's so much fun to have a Christmas tree that can be decorated differently every time! I thought a cool turquoise and silver combination would be pretty. My coloring was done with Touch Twin Markers.

This beauty is from Dina Kowal.

The picture's not perfectly accurate (like the paper is actually white...) but I kept losing the true colors of the markers if I tried to fix the white.

I had shared the picture during the process with some Facebook friends, and they encouraged me to frame it.... so I cut a mat from some velvet paper cardstock using a Coluzzle template. It won't stay in this frame - I'll have to find another one... but this was the only 5x7" frame I could find (and it had my favorite wedding photo in it...)!

Christmas Bells

Today's beautiful project is from Bev Gerrard.

My thoughts:    Bells … the wonderful sounds of melodious bells leading into Christmas musicals … ‘I heard the bells on Christmas Eve’ … ‘Silver Bells’ …  …  I’m just “thinking through” the songs, poems, phrases of the traditional Christmas spirit that is such a part of my own memory bank. I’ve stamped this wonderful Bells w/ Holly stamp in VersaMark ink, followed with heat embossing with Ranger’s Queen’s Gold embossing powder.

 

ShinHan Touch Twin markers were used to add the defining details to the embossed image.   Truthfully?   Coloring within heat embossed lines is often very “easy”, depending upon the embossing powder used.   Tex’s Tips: IMO, using “clear” embossing powder, or “golden” ep works beautifully with our ShinHan Touch Twin markers or other alcohol markers, while using a ‘black’ ep may or may not cause “smearing” difficulties.   This is based solely upon my own experiences.

Chickadee Ornament

Today's holiday ornament project is from Dina Kowal.

For my project I made an acrylic ornament - I've had these acrylic pieces stashed away for some time, and with our upcoming trip to the States in mind, I am in "use it up" mode! I colored the image (Chickadee Surprise) with Touch Twin markers, adding some lines with a glaze pen to resist the ink in some places. I used the markers to color the seam binding, too, spritzing the colored ribbon with alcohol to make the colors blend.
