Autumn Scarecrow

Today's project is from ARTisan Anna Wight.

AnnaWightSCARECROWweb600

Autumn is my FAVORITE season, without a doubt. Not necessarily a Texas Autumn (I tend to like spring here when the flowers are blooming), but elsewhere, Autumn is my favorite season.  As for home decor, colors and clothing, it's also my favorite season. I love warm, earthy colors, and now that we've got Labor Day behind us, I'm pulling out the darker shirts and enjoying my favorite colors again. Yay!!

Nighttime Pumpkin Scene

Today's project is from ARTisan Dina Kowal.

To offset the dark scene, I framed the piece in white, and embellished it with diecut leaves (Impression Obsession) and a flourish from Cheery Lynn.

These are the colors that I used... I don't have my usual color map, because there are so many layers of color here...! The warm greys were used to shade the pumpkins, and the blue greys were used in the background.

Today's project is from ARTisan Elaine Hughes.

I had a lot of fun this week colouring up “Cupcake Thief“.  I love the humour in this image, and those cupcakes look delicious.

Strength and Hope

Today's project is from ARTisan Dina Kowal.

I thought it would be fun to make a sunset for this ocean scene using my Touch Twin Markers! I have a tutorial written up for this technique, which you can view by clicking HERE. I used blender paper on this project, which is a clay-coated paper. Glossy cardstock will work as well.

These are the Touch Twin Markers that I used:

... and this is what my tile looked like before I spritzed it with rubbing alcohol, so you can get an idea of the gradient:

Fall Wagon

Today's project is from ARTisan Dina Kowal..

For this card, I stamped the Wagon by Porch image twice, and cut out just the wagon front on the second image - once I had my wagon filled with goodies, I layered the wagon front over scene, for a dimensional effect. Here are a few close-ups for a better look:

I used the Square Shaker Frame as a layer - it has such an elegant edge.
