Get Well Wishes

Today's project is from Elaine Hughes.

I have been itching to colour up some of my Flourishes LLC stamps, and the Apple of My Eye set was perfect for a card I needed to create today.

Flourishes LLC - Apple of My Eye - www.quixoticcards.com

Coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin Markers on Make it Colour Blending Card, marker details are below!  The sentiment and border around it are from a Waltzing Mouse Stamps set – Fancy Phrases.  The little diecut flourishes are from the lovely Whimsy Stamps Shapeology Elegant Flourishes die.  Layered on Bazzill Kraft cardstock.

Wonderful Birthday

Today's project is from Tami Mayberry.
For my card I made a super simple birthday card using the dogwood frame in Theresa's Dogwood and Butterfly set. I embossed the ivory card stock base, colored the image with my Touch Twin Markers, cut it out with an oval Spellbinder's die, attached it with some pop dots and it was done!

The flowers were colored with Touch Twin color R28 and 0 colorless blender. The leaves are GY173 and GY175 and the frame is BR107.

Simple Pleasures

Today's project is from Dina Kowal.

This Cupcake Background was calling me... this is such a versatile background, with such a fun variety of cupcakes in all shapes and sizes! It can be kept as a background, or the cupcakes could be cut out and pieced, etc. Such a fun image. I stamped the sentiment "Fill Your Day" on a Spellbinders die cut.

Voodoo Lady Card and Video

Today's project and video comes from Elaine Hughes.

So, with great pleasure, I am introducing VOODOO LADY!  Absolutely LOVE her.  This image is so me, and is everything I love about Annie’s work.  Colouring her was a lot of fun.  I actually created a quick video to show the colouring process, and you can find that below along with full details on the marker colours used.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Voodoo Lady - available at www.quixoticpaperie.co.uk

Definitely an image to have lots of fun with.
The image was coloured with ShinHan Touch Twin markers on Make it Colour Blending Card.  The designer papers are a mix of My Mind’s Eye All is Beautiful and Echo Park Apothecary.  The fab sentiment comes with the image stamp.  The chipboard corners are from a Make it Crafty Lasercut Chipboard pack and I coloured them with a black Touch Twin Marker and added some sparkle with a clear glitter pen.

Sweets For The Sweet

Today's project is from Dina Kowal.

My card is a 4" square, fun little size... It actually started off smaller... but when I stuck it all together I failed to notice which side the fold was on, and it was *ahem* on the right... so I ended up cutting the back off and re-layering... but... that allowed me to add the chocolate chip cookie paper layer, so... it's all good. HA! Cocoa (from the So Sweet clear set) is stamped with Memento Desert Sand ink on an Inchie Plus matboard square from Inchie Arts, and colored with Touch Twin Markers.

I cut the lace border twice... the second time I folded my cardstock and positioned the die so the fold of the cardstock lay just inside the scalloped edge. That gave me an almost double-wide diecut that was a perfect width to layer under the laced diecut.

Have a Micey Nice Day

Today's project is from Dina Kowal.

I colored this sweet image (Micey Day clear set) using my Touch Twin Markers, and framed it in some die cut windows (cut with a Quickutz circle die and a Cheery Lynn doily die). I used Penny Black's Rose Garden cardstock (pink) along with a few small scraps of Memory Box cardstock for the leaves. The base panel is embossed with a Sizzix Texturz plate.

I added Sweet Pea Flower Soft to the bouquet and Ivory Flower Soft to the flower center (die from Cheery Lynn Designs).

A Stamping Technique Tutorial From Tami

Today Tami Mayberry shows how to ink part of a stamp.

You'll notice that this stamp typically has a frame around it like in the card below:
Today I am going to show you a quick and east way to remove the frame.

Begin with a die in the shape you want the overall image. Today I am using an oval.  I like to lay the die over the image to find the size I want to use.

Next, cut the shape from a piece of light weight paper.
This is a great way to recycle junk mail!

Place the die cut frame over the stamp with the part you want inked in the opening.

Ink the image.

Remove the paper and stamp

This is your final result

Here is them image colored with my Shinhan Touch Twin markers (BG7, PB76, R139) then a greeting (Gnome One Like You) and an embossed frame added.

Super easy!
