Question:
Do you color an image first OR do you get your project materials together first and
then match your colors to your patterned papers or cardstock?

I color my stamping image first!!!
depends on my mood but I find it easier to chose papers first then match in the marker colours.
I color the image in first, and then it sits there for awhile until I get around to finding the right paper, and then then embellishments. Usually I have a few colored images waiting to put together.
To tell you the truth, I love coloring more than making the project... normally I color the image and then I think how to use it and which materials I'll use. I have hundreds of images colored!!!!!
(Though, I found easier to combine when I first gather all my supllies and then color the image)
I have tried to do both but find it goes much smoother and faster for me to match my colours to my paper.
Love the coloring part WAAAAAY more than the making a card part. LOL So, obviously, I do the coloring of my image first!!!
I have done it both ways
I do both ... sometimes I just know how I want an image colored, so I do it first. Other times, I match colors to the papers I want to use.
I nearly always color my image first.
I get all of my supplies together, first. I usually know what colors
I want to work with...
Thanks, Cindi

Most of the time I pick the materials first and then color.
I get my materials together and then have fun :)
I have done both, but majority of the time, get the papers together first and then match with the markers.
I actually color the image first, and then stress out because I can't match it, LOL!
I always, always, always pick my patterned paper first, pull out the matching Copic markers and then colour my image. THEN I pull out all my embellishments etc to finish the card!
90% of the time I select my patterned papers first and color my images to match them; occasionally I like to color for the sake of coloring and color the images first and then see what papers and patterned coordinate with it when I am ready to use it in a card. Thanks for so many chances to win your markers!
I tend to pick my color scheme first and then my markers to co-ordinate things the best I can.
I pick my papers then color match the image to it. :)
Hugs,
True :D
Color first!
Color first then hope I can match everything else. LOL
Good question, now that I thiink about it, I guess I color my image first. and then go from there.
Hmmm... I think I get my papers, etc first and then color. I use the papers as my jumping off point.
I have done it both ways. I find that coloring first is risky. :p
I get everything together and try to make it all work before coloring.
I've learned the hard way that it's much easier to select my color scheme first and then color my image to match my cardstock and patterned paper.
Usually I find my papers first and then colour my images, but sometimes I just like to sit in the evening and colour (usually whilst watching some rubbish on TV LOL!!!) however I then spend an age trying to find some matching papers !!!

I do both, depending on the project. I may pick the primary colors and then color at will.
Most of the time I pick my papers and layers first, then color the image to match,
I color an image first and then match my papers and cardstock to that!
for me, it's paper and layout first, then marker colors to match.
I get my papers and everything together first, then color my image to match it.
I collect the components first then match the colors to them. Safer to have what you need ahead of time to complete the item.
I pre-color images!
Both ways...
I usually get my paper first and then color the image, but if I am doing a CAS card I just color it :)
I decide on the colors before I start making my card.
I gather supplies so I can match the colors to my paper.
I pick my papers first, then my stamp, then my embellishments after it's all coloured! If I colour first, then I'm in trouble! :)
I color first. I wish I planned better.
I usually get my materials together first, but I have done it the other way too.

well I know that I SHOULD choose my papers etc first then colour my image to match, but in reality that never happens - I colour my image then MAKE my papers and embellishments match, if all else fails i make an all white card and colour ribbon and bling with my alcohol markers to co-ordinate

I always collect my materials first then Colour the image. Sometimes i even assemble the card first if im following a sketch to make sure that the image im using fits within the sketch.

I know the comp has passed, but just thought I'd answer anyway! :) I pick my paper first and then colour my image to match. (I've tried it the other way round before but had to spend AGES trying to find matching paper!) Hugs, Sem x
I usually color the image first and hope to be able to pair up some dp with it.
