Introducing The Shinhan ARTisans!

The Shinhan ARTisans
& Product Education Specialists

My life is good. I get to spend hours each day coloring and working with some of my favorite people. I live in the great state of Texas with my husband. We share four grown sons and two absolutely perfect grandchildren.

I've colored since I was old enough to hold a crayon. I was a stay at home Mom for 20+ years and found my way to Splitcoaststampers.com in 2005. I was asked to be on the Splitcoast Dirty Dozen and fell in love with designing. I've enjoyed working with some wonderful stamp and papercrafting supply companies ever since. You can find my work regularly in CardMaker Magazine and assorted other books and magazines. I'm thrilled to be a part of Shinhan Art Materials.

I'm very honoured and excited to be working with ShinHan Art and their wonderful team of ARTisans. I've been involved in the paper crafting industry for just over 10 years, after a coworker brought some rubber stamps to play with over our lunch hour. Since then, I haven't looked back, and have been blessed to design for many fabulous companies in the last six years as well as share my love for the craft through teaching in my home, and at various papercrafting stores and conventions. I absolutely LOVE to colour and am totally impressed with the quality of the markers and the ease with which they blend. I'm still working on defining my style, which tends to fluctuate depending on my mood, but if I had to sum it up, I would say I prefer a clean and simple look. I have been published several times over the years in Making Memories Books, Tweety Jill Publications and Rubber Stamper Magazine.

When I'm not getting inky, I am a proud football mom to a very tall 15 year old and work full time as a Behavioural Therapist. If I can squeak in a little extra time, I enjoy reading, playing guitar, singing, fishing, and have just developed a passion for Hot Yoga! I'm from Kingston, Ontario, which is about halfway between Toronto and Montreal, but want to live in Texas with Jeanne and Bev when I grow up! I hope you enjoy the projects that I'm looking forward to sharing with you!

Bev Gerard

Hi everyone! I’m Bev Gerard (a.k.a. TexasGrammy). I’m so happy to be here; it seems I’ve been smiling non-stop since being invited to work as a part of this incredible team. Since discovering the world of paper-crafting and rubber stamping a few years ago, my life has become enriched in unexpected ways. I’ve been privileged to work with Gina K. Designs, Our Daily Bread Designs, and Our Craft Lounge. Currently I’m blessed to be part of the SCS Dirty Dozen and also design for Inky Antics and Rubbernecker Stamps. As a former Kindergarten and First Grade teacher, I still love to teach, only now I get to focus myself in a crafty way! Yes, I still have a couple of coloring books from my youth ... so coloring now with the wonderful ShinHan Touch Twin markers seems like a natural, progressive step. (Or could it mean that I just never grew up?!)

My home is in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX vicinity. My other passions are my children and grandblessings. Life is so good, and so colorful!

Elaine Hughes

I’ve always had a passion for creating things and for playing with paper, pens etc. My passion for paper crafting really started a few years ago, when I discovered stamping. Things kind of spiraled from there, and now my main passion is colouring. The majority of my projects involve stamping and colouring, usually with markers.

When I'm not colouring or working, you can usually find me curled up with a good book, walking my dog, or indulging in a video-game.

I‘ve lived in Indonesia with my family since 2005, where we are in full-time ministry. I homeschool our 4 kiddos (3 boys and a girl), help out as a campus ‘Dr. Mom’ and also teach a basic health class yearly. I’ve always loved art, and stamping has been a wonderful escape from the pressures of cross-cultural living… I love winding down after a long day with my markers, watercolors, pencils, stamps, and cardstock all in reach.

I started doing freelance design in 2002, blogging in 2006, joined my first design team in 2007, and found that I truly love creating one-of-a-kind cards, pushing my limits, and thinking outside the box. In addition to my design team work for Impression Obsession and Flower Soft, I also design rubber stamp artwork for Our Daily Bread designs and Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps, and create custom watermarks for photos posted online.

I am a wife and stay at home (homeschooling) mom of 5. In my “free time” I enjoy spending time with family, church activities, graphic design and, of course, creating with paper. I have been scrapbooking since 1997 and card making since 2007. I have a very clean and simple style and love to create projects that are easily reproduced. In addition to having the privilege of being a Shinhan ARTisan & Product Education Specialist I am also a designer for DRG Publishers/CardMaker magazine, designer/illustrator for Gina K Designs, Team Leader & Social Media Coordinator for Scor-pal and designer for The Stamps of Life.

...and our very special Guest ARTisan

I have been papercrafting for more than 30 years - I produce some sort of art every day. I work in papercrafting also - as the Community Manager of Splitcoaststampers.com - and I teach courses in Social Media, for artists at local universities and conservatories and for art guilds. I blog at www.understandblue.blogspot.com and have articles and artwork published in numerous papercrafting publications. I enjoy creating art for non-profits, and frequently donate art to fundraisers for animal rescue and educational organizations in my community.
